Accelerated Reader
2009-2010
Accelerated Reader is a highly acclaimed program that encourages
kids of all ages and abilities to read. This program is
strictly voluntary and in no way influences your child's grade.
Students can take a quiz in the computer lab
from
7:15-7:40. A volunteer will be available most mornings to help the
younger students take a quiz if necessary. Also, the Crowley Public
Library has the Deer Creek AR list so parents and kids can check to
see if a book in the library is on our AR list.

Each student
will receive a star on the board and a red star sticker
after reaching the red level. For each additional
level achieved the student will receive an additional color
coded star sticker for that star. When the student has
earned a star sticker for all the five points of the star,
the student will be an All Star Reader! In addition,
every month the classroom with the highest participation
(median must be greater than zero) for each grade will
receive a special prize. The classroom for each grade
with the most points will get to display an AR Pennant on
their door. |
